An Introduction to ISO 45001 + Maritime Webinar with Matt O'Crowley

Matt O’Crowely

  • Global Compliance Director, Maritime Wellness Institute

  • Former Seafarer

I am a consultant, auditor, trainer, incident investigator, safety manager and thought leader in the world of QSHE, and am thrilled that you have taken the time to visit my profile; I hope that in the future we can have a conversation about raising standards either within your own organisation or industries as a whole
Working in offshore, maritime, manufacturing and engineering disciplines has given me solid experience and knowledge in Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental related procedures, policies and processes-from very high risk environments to those where a lower risk exists, but complacency has crept in.

I have experience of creating, amending and auditing UK, Marshall Islands and USCG Ship Security Plans, ISM/ISPS auditing as well as industrial experience helping businesses to utilise knowledge and thinking from both the maritime and aviation industries to achieve world class standards.

My work has taken me all over the world, exposing me to different regulatory structures, multi lingual and multi cultural workforces and challenging cultures/political backgrounds.

As a qualified officer with a Merchant Navy background, I bring an entirely different skillset to the table, allowing me to instigate and manage change in a pragmatic and rapid way.
