Qualification period – by 1st June
The judges will award points based on specific criteria for each award. There are four criteria per category which have 25 points assigned to each of them, as well as a bonus criterium which can allow for an additional 10 points (the latter information is optional). Please note that entries will be awarded zero points for any criteria that they do not address.
The MWI will recognises a standout wellbeing programme or campaign that has helped protect crew physical or mental health or one that has raised awareness of important issues impacting the wellbeing, and ultimately the safety, of crew in the industry.
Examples could include mental health support, physical health initiatives, anti-bullying campaigns or seafarer family support.

Best Training Programme
This category recognises any standout training programmes that develop seafarer skills and ensure that crew comply with industry best practice and global regulation. These encompass any training/wellness awareness initiatives or events that have notably improved crew safety practices or attitudes, either onshore or aboard ship.
